Nadia and Mark removed their two children from mainstream school five years ago as they had struggled with bullying and school phobia in a traditional school setting. Since then they have home-schooled them. At a time when so many of us are having to adapt our roles as parents and teachers, they bring their experiences – the good and the bad – and offer a candid and practical guide to teaching at home.
Statistics show that the number of home-schooled children in the UK has increased by 40% over the last three years, and the rate is steadily increasing. Honey, I Home-Schooled the Kids will share obstacles, insights and resources that all parents can learn from, whether they’re looking for help in supporting their child at school or if they have decided that they would benefit more from being home-schooled.
Nadia and Mark said: ‘We’ve been home educating our daughters for many years now and have certainly had our challenges along the way. We hope that by sharing our personal experiences – the highs and lows – we can help other parents through the difficulties that they may be facing. Now more than ever we feel a “real” guide to educating children at home is so important and we hope that our honest and witty tone can help families with their journey nationwide.”
