In my heart l am a republican. I cannot adhere to the world of deference through position, l cannot doff my cap to those born of supposed high status, nor can l offer respect to any human due to the coincidence of their birth.
I will certainly pay due respect to those with talent or those who have worked their way from the bottom to the top, but because of an accident of birth? l think not.
