Creative Pod CEO, Matt Turner, took to the wheel with Chesney Hawkes to sing his infamous song 'The One and Only' whilst raising awareness and encouraging donations to the end-of-life children's hospice in Sussex, Chestnut Tree House.
Matt Turner explained why the charity is so imprtnat to him: "I know the work they do to help children and families is so important and I have supported them whenever I can over the past few years. I was very honoured and humbled to be asked to be one of Chestnut Tree House’s 15th birthday Patrons, so I really wanted to do something a bit different in 2018 to mark their 15th birthday year and help raise awareness for this fantastic cause. So, Chestnut Carpool Karaoke was born!"
Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice cares for 300 children and young people across Sussex and South East Hampshire. All have life-shortening conditions that mean they are unlikely to reach adulthood.
The charity helps families live for the Now. By providing safe spaces for enjoyment, where kids can be kids, parents can just be parents not carers, and where siblings have someone to talk to who understands.
Then when the time comes, Chestnut Tree House helps children and families say goodbye, in whatever way feels right for them, either at home or in the hospice itself. Chestnut Tree House offers ongoing bereavement support for the whole family.
