Victoria Jessup joins PDT Solicitors’ successful Corporate and Commercial team. The appointment strengthens PDT’s commercial offering, which includes assisting clients with their commercial contracts and advising on issues of commercial law, including the compliance and enforcement aspects of data protection law, as well as protecting their intellectual property.
As a solicitor and part-qualified Trademark Attorney, Victoria brings to PDT extensive in-house experience working for leading brands Jimmy Choo and Philip Morris. As such, Victoria is the clients’ first port of call for advice on brand protection, including trademark and design filings, IP enforcement and copyright issues.

Top 100 law firm DMH Stallard has made another senior appointment at its rapidly expanding Guildford office.
Sara McGrigor joins the private client team as a senior associate and is very well known in Surrey having previously worked at Hart Brown in Guildford, Cranleigh, and Godalming. Sara has also lived locally with her family for many years and is looking forward to building on the close relationship the firm enjoys with residents in the area.

In her new role, Lorna’s focus will be on continuing to look after a growing number of private clients as well as expanding the current tax team of eight specialists.

Sophie Macarthy is a commercial property specialist. She advises on all types of land and property transactions, business sales and acquisitions, leases and contracts, portfolio management and finance. Rob Clare has been appointed Chairman of Sussex Chamber of Commerce, having already served two terms as a non-executive director.
Rob has lived and worked in Sussex for most of his life and, with the help of the Chamber’s CEO and Board, he is keen to help the local business community and give it a voice on key local issues.
His career was in commercial banking, following which he co-founded Innovation Capital which provides corporate finance and business growth advice to local owner managed businesses with clients ranging from fintech to FMCG.

Rix & Kay have appointed new Family and Divorce lawyer, Janet Raeburn, who joins as Partner and will be based in the firm’s Family Team in Uckfield. Janet was previously Partner at a leading firm in Suffolk where she practised for eight years before deciding to move back to her home county of Sussex where she originally trained.
With almost ten years experience in family and divorce law, Janet specialises in all legal aspects of divorce and separation with particular expertise in managing and negotiating complex financial settlements, and resolving disputes relating to all aspects of a child’s life and disputes involving significant property assets.
